Job Description
This entry-level architectural position involves supporting the design process through software, model building, documentation, and research tasks under supervision, contributing to project teams and gaining hands-on experience in architecture and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design process using software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Sketch-up
- Build physical building models
- Produce architectural documentation under supervision
- Create graphics and images for client presentations
- Conduct product research and assist with building code research
- Review shop drawings and submittals under supervision
- Attend project team meetings
- Visit job sites to verify conditions and observe construction progress
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field required by hire date
- Proficiency with Revit and Enscape preferred
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required
- Strong creative design portfolio is essential
- Must have strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
- Ability to contribute to the design process by utilizing various software platforms such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch-up under supervision
- Ability to build physical building models
- Ability to produce architectural documentation under supervisory direction
- Ability to produce graphics materials and images for client presentations under supervisory direction
- Ability to assist in product research under supervision of Project Architect or Project Manager
- Ability to assist with research of building code information as directed by Project Architect
- Ability to participate in the review of shop drawings and submittals under supervision
- Willingness to attend in-house project team meetings
- Willingness to visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, including physical walk-throughs
