Job Description

A role focused on building relationships and providing GIS solutions to local government clients by leveraging Esri technology, with responsibilities including account management, sales strategy, industry knowledge, and professional growth within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations.
  • Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge and relevance of GIS to customer needs.
  • Identify key stakeholders and understand customer budgeting and acquisition processes.
  • Use solution selling to address customer needs and business challenges.
  • Articulate the value of Esri technology and conduct research for professional growth.
  • Execute account management and sales processes to meet targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define and implement account strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
  • Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
  • Understanding of account planning and opportunity strategy creation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the State and Local Government industry and new technology trends, with the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
  • Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
