The role involves construction administration for a large healthcare project, acting as a liaison between the project team and contractors, overseeing quality and cost control, reviewing documents, resolving site issues, and ensuring project compliance from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the project during Construction Administration (CA) phase and serve as on-site liaison among construction managers, contractors, clients, consultants, and design teams.
Attend and participate in site meetings related to scheduling, cost management, RFIs, and project coordination.
Review, interpret, and develop construction documents and sketches to address field conditions and issues.
Process, review, and respond to RFIs and submittals within contractual timeframes.
Monitor and perform quality control and site visits to ensure construction compliance and progress.
Coordinate with design and consulting teams to interpret documents and resolve construction issues.
Prepare reports and documentation related to construction activities and project status.
Requirements
The successful candidate must be a highly qualified professional with a minimum of 10 years of related experience in construction administration, architecture, engineering, construction, or a related field.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field is required.
Experience in healthcare and/or institutional projects is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements is required.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Technical knowledge, coordination skills, and the ability to build rapport with the project team are essential.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam is required.
Knowledge of Procore and ACC is required.
Must be able to perform periodic QA/QC construction site visits and have a substantial presence at the construction site.
Must be able to process, review, and answer Requests for Information and submittals within contractual timeframes.
Must be able to review and interpret construction documents, develop and issue sketches related to field conditions and issues, and coordinate work with consultants and the project team.
Must be able to attend and participate in site meetings including scheduling, cost management, pre-installation, RFI, and weekly Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings.
Must be able to monitor, review, and process closeout submittals.
Must adhere to established on-site project procedures and safety program requirements.
Must work under the supervision of a Licensed Architect.
Travel is required for this position.
