Job Description
This role involves performing building performance analysis, creating visualizations of energy and environmental metrics, and supporting high-performance building design projects within a multidisciplinary sustainability team. The position requires expertise in energy modeling, data analysis, and industry standards to help develop sustainable and energy-efficient building solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform building performance analysis and create graphical representations of results for communication with project teams.
- Develop visual representations of building energy consumption, thermal performance, daylighting, glare, thermal comfort, renewable energy, climate analysis, and other metrics.
- Conduct detailed energy and daylighting analyses to support early design simulations and provide feedback.
- Manage documentation for LEED energy credits, energy code compliance reports, and other performance rating systems.
- Research and improve performance modeling methodologies, workflows, and software tools.
- Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to clients and project teams across multiple projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in related field required.
- A minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
- Must be able to assist with data analysis, energy modeling, and visualization tools, and be familiar with A E C industry trends related to high performance buildings.
- Experience with EnergyPlus Openstudio, required.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE Standard 90.1, ASHRAE Standard 62.1, LEED Reference Guides, California Title 24, IECC, and other energy related codes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are essential.
