Job Description
The role involves managing accounts payable processes, including invoice review, reconciliation, vendor communication, and supporting financial reporting and audits within a corporate accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process accounts payable for North America offices, including vendor invoice entry and reconciliation.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, approval, and documentation according to company policies.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and unusual transactions.
- Assist with annual audit and processing of 1099 forms.
- Maintain and update vendor files, including insurance certificates and W-9s.
- Generate and prepare accounting reports as requested by leadership.
- Provide guidance and training on payables and workflow approval processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience required.
- Must have experience with accounts payable cash disbursements and general accounting knowledge.
- High level knowledge of accounting coding.
- Knowledge of OCR electronic coding and ERP workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills required.
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-directed in most aspects of the position.
- Strong communication skills, exceptional time management and planning skills with the ability to multitask, maintain and prioritize deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
