Camus Energy is seeking an Infrastructure Software Engineer to develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and platform infrastructure, while ensuring system reliability, observability, and operational health in a cloud-native environment focused on grid connection solutions for utilities and energy providers.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build backend services, APIs, and platform infrastructure for the platform
Contribute to product features from backend logic and data pipelines to deployment and operational scaffolding
Lead development of observability stack including metrics, logging, and alerting
Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, and release processes
Drive incident response, postmortems, and build automation to address recurring issues
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in a software engineering role with a strong infrastructure or platform focus
Experience working with Python 3 and owning backend services and APIs end to end, not just writing scripts
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and GCP or comparable cloud platforms, ideally in production environments
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana, and an instinct for what good monitoring looks like
Experience in designing and building backend services, APIs, and platform infrastructure that power a software platform
Ability to contribute to product features end to end, including backend logic, data pipelines, deployment, and operational scaffolding
Experience leading the development of observability stacks including metrics, logging, and alerting, and establishing practices for production health
Ownership of and experience evolving CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, and release processes to improve software shipping speed and safety
Experience driving incident response and postmortems collaboratively, and building automation and tooling to address recurring issues
