Job Description

The Sales Director for data centers at Camus Energy is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth by securing large-scale energy and grid connection solutions, building executive relationships, and positioning the company's innovative software products within the energy and data center industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting large hyperscalers and data center developers in North America
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets through new customer acquisition and account expansion
  • Collaborate with product and professional services teams to structure complex, multi-million dollar agreements
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with industry stakeholders
  • Manage sales pipeline, forecasting, and proposal creation for impactful revenue opportunities

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in business development, strategic alliances, or hyperscale sales within the energy or data center industry
  • Confidence in technical selling of complex and not-fully-defined early growth phase products and solutions, with the ability to design the best approach to meet customer needs
  • Strong knowledge of power systems including transmission and bulk power supply, grid interconnection processes, onsite generation, or related energy technologies
  • Proven ability to navigate complex contract negotiations, executive-level stakeholder management, and cross-functional team leadership
  • Experience in developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy targeting North America’s largest hyperscalers and data center developers
  • Ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets by acquiring new customers and expanding existing customer accounts, including responsibility for forecasting, pipeline management, and proposal creation
  • Experience in establishing and nurturing executive-level relationships with owners, operators, developers, and strategic partners
  • Experience in representing the organization at industry conferences, executive forums, and client engagements, with up to 20% travel expected
  • Self-motivation and collaboration skills, with high integrity and low ego, to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to test, learn, and iterate on sales strategies to drive revenue for an industry-disrupting product

Benefits & Perks

Compensation/salary range: $150,000 - $175,000 annually, with uncapped incentive compensation
Work schedule: Fully remote with options for in-office work in the Bay Area, flexible PTO
