A Structural Engineer conducts field evaluations of industrial structures, analyzes data, develops models and calculations, and designs rehabilitation or replacement plans, supporting structural assessments and ensuring quality control in construction projects.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
Support field evaluation of existing industrial structures and conduct field evaluations of industrial structures.
Develop calculations and analytical models in steel and concrete.
Design rehabilitation and or replacement plans for structures.
Specify materials, write reports, and provide technical support for and quality control of structural construction.
Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Structural Engineering.
Have between 0 to 3 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
Hold an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) licensure or be eligible to obtain it.
Be familiar with modelling software such as STAAD, which is required.
Have knowledge of ACI 318, AISC, ASCE-7, and IBC standards, which are required.
Have a working knowledge of AutoCAD, which is preferred.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to work under licensed P.E. and S.E. supervision to progress towards professional licensure.
Be able to meet all client-specific site requirements prior to deployment on any field assignment.
Possess physical mobility on the ground and at heights.
Be able to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
Be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms or scaffolding using appropriate fall protection.
Be able to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind while wearing the appropriate PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, goggles, ear plugs, masks, respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and steel-toed work boots.
Be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces.
Adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site.
Meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site.
