Job Description
A Project Manager responsible for overseeing maintenance and reliability capital projects across various industries, managing all project phases from planning to closeout, leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with clients and vendors, and ensuring project scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of maintenance and reliability capital projects from award to closeout or various development stages
- Plan, organize, control, and report on project activities
- Lead and coordinate project team members, including discipline engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and management
- Ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and quality standards
- Coordinate technical communication across engineering disciplines, clients, contractors, and vendors
- Manage project budgets, including financial responsibility for invoicing and cost control
- Develop proposals and estimates for projects
- Mentor and lead project and discipline engineers and team members
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering preferred
- 10 years of engineering consulting experience supporting the oil gas, chemical, renewable energy power, and manufacturing industries
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects
- Background in project development and execution
- Management experience leading teams, possibly experience as a client manager
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple competing projects
- Prior to deployment on any field assignment, must be able to meet all client-specific site requirements, including physical mobility on the ground and at heights
- Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms and scaffolding using appropriate fall protection
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind while wearing the appropriate PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, ear plugs, masks, respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather, steel-toed work boots
- Ability to position oneself to work in confined spaces
- Must adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site
- Must meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site
