A Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and management of maintenance reliability and capital projects across various industries, working closely with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure project scope, schedule, and quality are maintained from initiation to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling project aspects
Coordinate technical communication across engineering disciplines, clients, contractors, vendors, and management
Develop scopes of work for construction of engineered designs
Ensure projects adhere to scope and schedule
Process vendor submittals, revisions, and equipment releases
Lead client and contractor interface, attend meetings, and prepare reports
Support constructability planning, proposal development, and cost estimation
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering preferred
Minimum of 5 years of engineering consulting experience supporting the oil gas, chemical, renewable energy power, and manufacturing industries
Scheduling and planning software experience preferred
Management experience leading small teams required
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple competing projects
Must possess physical mobility on the ground and at heights
Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms or scaffolding using appropriate fall protection
Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind while wearing appropriate PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and steel-toed work boots
Ability to position oneself to work in confined spaces
Must be able to meet all client-specific site requirements prior to deployment on field assignments
Must adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site
Must meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site
