A Project Engineer supporting maintenance reliability and capital projects across various industries, responsible for project planning, coordination, and management from inception to completion, often working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning, organizing, and controlling project aspects in support of the Project Manager
Coordinate technical communication across engineering disciplines, clients, contractors, vendors, and management
Develop scopes of work for construction of engineered designs
Ensure projects adhere to scope and schedule
Process vendor submittals, revisions, and equipment releases
Lead client and contractor interface, attend meetings, and provide written reports
Support constructability planning, proposal development, and estimate creation
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering preferred
Minimum of 5 years of engineering consulting experience supporting the oil gas, chemical, renewable energy power, and manufacturing industries
Scheduling and planning software experience preferred
Management experience leading small teams required
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple competing projects
Prior to deployment on any field assignment, must be able to meet all client-specific site requirements, including physical mobility on the ground and at heights, ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs, and work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and work off platforms using appropriate fall protection
Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind while wearing the appropriate PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather, steel-toed work boots
May be required to position oneself to work in confined spaces
May be required to adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site
May be required to meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site
