A Mechanical Engineer responsible for field evaluations, analysis, design, and troubleshooting of equipment and piping systems in industrial facilities, supporting maintenance, reliability, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in field evaluations of in-service equipment and piping to identify failure causes
Perform calculations, develop repair drawings, and recommend repairs or replacements
Provide technical support and written reports during field execution
Interface with clients and construction teams, attend meetings, and coordinate activities
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 1 year and maximum of 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
E.I.T. licensure (Engineer-in-Training) is required
Knowledge of ASME B31.3 piping code
Knowledge of ASME VIII Div I pressure vessel code is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred
Must possess physical mobility on the ground and at heights
Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms or scaffolding using appropriate fall protection
Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind while wearing PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and steel-toed work boots
Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces
Must meet client-specific site requirements prior to deployment, including adherence to safety policies such as drug testing and facial hair policies
