Job Description
The Site Safety Manager at Brightcore Energy is responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a safety-conscious culture across construction and engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
- Lead efforts to achieve environmental, health, and safety (EHS) goals, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for hazards, near misses, and injuries, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and conduct safety meetings for leadership and staff.
- Manage OSHA logs, incident reporting, and annual filings.
- Oversee workers' compensation claims and maintain related records.
- Administer safety programs including safety shoe and eyeglass programs, and DOT compliance for CDL drivers.
- Facilitate health and safety risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure operations adhere to OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelors of Science degree in EHS or related Safety Engineering field
- Must have experience with building and implementing a safety program within a construction, engineering, logistics, or related field
- 7 years of experience in developing an environmental, health, and safety program
- Experience with implementing and or managing a DOT Safety program
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- OSHA 30 certification is required, or willingness to complete OSHA 30 training within the first 90 days of employment
Benefits & Perks
Base salary range of $110,000 to $145,000 per year
Annual discretionary bonus of up to 20% of base salary
Work environment includes site and office setting
Hybrid work model allowing remote work up to two days per week
