Job Description

The role involves mobilizing and operating drilling equipment for geothermal and geotechnical projects across the Northeast U.S., ensuring safety and efficiency while installing test wells and conducting feasibility studies for clean energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mobilize drilling equipment for commercial applications within urban and suburban environments
  • Perform geotechnical and environmental geothermal drilling methods
  • Install test wells and conduct feasibility studies with the geothermal team
  • Operate, maintain, and care for drill rigs and related equipment
  • Ensure safety, organization, and security of all equipment and personnel on site
  • Oversee site safety and the safety of the drilling crew
  • Understand mechanics and requirements for drill sites
  • Transport and handle materials and equipment, including lifting and digging
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, standing and bending for extended periods

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have an OSHA 30 SST card.
  • Flagger certification strongly preferred.
  • Must have an active Driver's License with the ability to obtain CDL.
  • Prior experience operating drilling equipment is a must.
  • Understand and follow utility locate law and compliance procedures, safety protocols, instructions, and quality regulations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction and/or drilling experience in NY, NJ, CT, or MA.
  • Experience with geothermal heat pumps.
  • Ability to haul, lift 60-80 lbs., move, load, and dig materials and equipment.
  • Willingness to stand and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel 100% in the greater Northeast Region of the United States, including CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ.
  • Willingness to be away from home Monday through Friday, including scheduled Saturdays, with lodging provided for overnight stays.
  • Must be physically capable of performing duties that involve standing, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to understand mechanics and requirements for drill sites.
  • Must be willing to cross-train.

Hourly wage range of $50.63 - $60.00 with eligibility for overtime pay
Work schedule of at least 40 hours per week, with potential for additional hours
