Job Description
This position involves assisting with drilling operations, handling equipment, and performing physical labor outdoors, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in drilling technologies and renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with drilling procedures on the drilling platform
- Handle drill pipe, casing, and auxiliary equipment
- Mix drilling mud and grout
- Operate auxiliary equipment between projects
- Demobilize equipment and load/unload materials
- Drive company vehicles to and from job sites
- Perform maintenance and keep equipment and work area clean
- Perform inventory stock intake
- Haul, lift, move, and dig materials and equipment
- Follow all safety and quality regulations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
- Ability to safely lift weights of 50 pounds overhead.
- Must have an OSHA 30 SST Card, CPR, First Aid, Rigging, and Flagger certification (strongly preferred).
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain CDL.
- Ability to travel to various locations as required by the job, including being willing to be away from home Monday through Friday with scheduled Saturdays, in the greater Northeast Region of the United States (CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ).
- Must be able to obtain coverage under the company automobile insurance policy and have a clean driving record (certain age restrictions may apply).
- Willingness to get hands dirty and engage in constant physical labor.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all elements.
- Ability to stand and bend for extended periods of time.
- Ability to haul, lift, move, load, and dig materials and equipment weighing 60-80 lbs.
- Ability to perform inventory stock intake as required.
- Ability to assist with drilling procedures on the drilling platform and handle drill pipe and casing.
- Ability to assist with loading and unloading of equipment and material.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks at specified intervals.
- Ability to keep equipment and drilling platform clean and orderly.
- Ability to perform demobilization of equipment.
- Ability to mix drilling mud and grout.
- Ability to follow all safety and quality regulations and instructions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and digging in a physically demanding environment.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily as per job description.
Benefits & Perks
Hourly wage range of $35.70 - $37.00 with eligibility for overtime pay
Work schedule of at least 40 hours per week, with potential for additional hours
Hybrid work environment allowing remote work up to 2 days per week
