Driller Assistant (Air, Mud, Water Well, Geothermal)

(Management may amend or assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time) • Assist the Lead Driller in daily drilling operations, including setting up and operating drilling equipment. • Monitor and maintain equipment during the drilling process, ensuring it is functioning properly and troubleshooting when necessary. • 100% travel required in the greater Northeast Region of the United States - CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ, MD • Handle and prepare drilling tools, pipes, and other equipment for use during operations. • Transport equipment and materials to and from the drill site as needed. • Follow safety protocols and ensure the worksite is organized and compliant with health and safety regulations. • Assist in the operation of mud systems, pressure control equipment, and other drilling-related systems. • Keep accurate records of daily drilling activities, including work progress, downtime, and equipment performance. • Support the team with general labor tasks, such as setting up rig structures, managing materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment. • Ensure that the proper safety and environmental standards are met during all phases of drilling operations. • Communicate effectively with the drilling team and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly. • All other duties and projects assigned. This position has supervisory responsibility.

• High School Diploma required. • Active CDL strongly preferred. • High School Diploma or GED required. • OSHA 30; SST card and Flagger certification strongly preferred. • Prior experience operating drilling equipment is a must. • Understands and follow utility locate law and compliance procedures, safety protocols, instructions, and quality regulations. • 5+ years of construction and/or drilling experience (either NY, NJ, CT, MA Master Drilling license a plus); NGWA certification preferred. • Experience with geothermal heat pumps. • Travel required 100% in the greater Northeast Region of the United States - CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ • Must be willing to be away from home Monday through Friday & scheduled Saturdays. • Lodging will be provided for overnight stays.
