Job Description
Assist with geothermal drilling operations by setting up and operating drilling equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safety and compliance to support the development of geothermal energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily geothermal drilling operations, including setting up and operating drilling equipment.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot drilling equipment during operations.
- Handle and prepare drilling tools, pipes, and materials for use.
- Transport equipment and materials to and from the drill site.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support operation of mud systems, pressure control equipment, and other drilling systems.
- Keep accurate records of drilling activities, progress, downtime, and equipment performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at the drill site.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Must have an OSHA 30 SST card.
- Flagger certification strongly preferred.
- Must have an active Driver's License with the ability to obtain a CDL.
- Prior experience operating drilling equipment is a must.
- Understand and follow utility locate law and compliance procedures, safety protocols, instructions, and quality regulations.
- Minimum of 5 years of construction and/or drilling experience in NY, NJ, CT, or MA.
- Experience with geothermal heat pumps.
- NGWA certification preferred.
- This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
- Must be willing to work a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week to maintain full-time status, with an expectation of an average of forty (40) hours per week, including overtime as scheduled.
- Travel required 100% in the greater Northeast Region of the United States (CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ), with willingness to be away from home Monday through Friday, including scheduled Saturdays, with lodging provided for overnight stays.
- Work site setting (physical demands and work environment).
- This is a safety-sensitive position requiring compliance with drug and alcohol testing regulations, including pre-employment background check, criminal history check, and pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to perform physical tasks necessary for the job, as it is a safety-sensitive position.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the drilling team and report issues or concerns promptly.

Hourly wage range of $37.00 to $42.00 with eligibility for overtime
Work schedule averaging 40 hours per week with a minimum of 30 hours for full-time benefits
