Job Description
Assist with geothermal drilling operations by supporting equipment setup, maintenance, safety protocols, and routine tasks to ensure efficient and safe drilling activities for geothermal energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily geothermal drilling operations, including setting up and operating drilling equipment
- Monitor and maintain drilling equipment, troubleshooting as needed
- Handle and prepare drilling tools, pipes, and related equipment
- Transport equipment and materials to and from the drill site
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support operation of mud systems, pressure control equipment, and other drilling systems
- Keep accurate records of drilling activities, work progress, and equipment performance
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment
- Support general labor tasks such as setting up rig structures and managing materials
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Must have an OSHA 30 SST card.
- Must have an active Driver's License with the ability to obtain CDL.
- Prior experience operating drilling equipment is a must.
- Understand and follow utility locate law and compliance procedures, safety protocols, instructions, and quality regulations.
- Five (5) years of construction and/or drilling experience in NY, NJ, CT, or MA.
- Experience with geothermal heat pumps.
- Must be willing to travel 100% in the greater Northeast Region of the United States (CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ) and be away from home Monday through Friday, with scheduled Saturdays, lodging provided for overnight stays.
- Ability to work a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week to maintain full-time status, with an expectation of an average of forty (40) hours per week, including overtime as scheduled.
- Must be able to perform the physical demands required for a safety-sensitive position, including handling equipment and working at the drill site.
Benefits & Perks
Hourly wage range of $37.00 to $42.00 with eligibility for overtime
Work schedule of a minimum of 30 hours per week, averaging 40 hours with overtime
Hybrid work environment allowing remote work up to 2 days per week
Travel required within the Northeast Region of the United States, with lodging provided for overnight stays
