This position involves managing accounting and payroll functions, including financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and overseeing certified payroll for projects, within a company focused on energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Review and prepare financial statements, month-end reconciliations, and adjusting journal entries
Manage weekly payroll for employees and ensure compliance with wage and tax regulations
Oversee certified payroll for public works and prevailing wage projects, including submission of reports
Conduct fringe benefit audits and reconcile fringe allocations and contributions
Interface with project managers and staff to gather and review payroll documentation
Maintain accurate payroll records for audit and compliance purposes
Prepare payroll-related reports on labor costs, fringe utilization, and project trends
Monitor changes in wage determinations and regulatory requirements to update internal systems
Evaluate and ensure subcontractor compliance with prevailing wage and payroll requirements
Requirements
3 to 5 years of recent experience in Accounting and Payroll.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, certified payroll, tax laws, and financial statement preparation.
Experience with TriNet, Sage Intacct, and Procore preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple team relationships and deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Base annual salary range of $110,000-$125,000
