Job Description

This position involves managing accounting, payroll, and compliance functions for a clean energy company, including financial statement preparation, payroll processing, and ensuring regulatory adherence, within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare financial statements, month-end reconciliations, and adjusting journal entries
  • Manage weekly payroll for employees and ensure compliance with wage and tax regulations
  • Oversee certified payroll for public works and prevailing wage projects, including submission of reports
  • Conduct fringe benefit audits and reconcile fringe allocations and contributions
  • Interface with project managers and subcontractors to gather and review payroll and timecard submissions
  • Maintain accurate payroll records for audit and compliance purposes
  • Prepare payroll-related reports on labor costs, fringe utilization, and project trends
  • Monitor changes in wage determinations and regulatory requirements to update internal systems
  • Evaluate subcontractor compliance with prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of recent experience in Accounting and Payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, certified payroll, tax laws, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with TriNet, Sage Intacct, and Procore preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple team relationships and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Base annual salary range of $110,000-$125,000
