The Area Sales Manager leads and coaches the sales team within a specific territory, focusing on recruiting, training, and exceeding sales goals in the roofing industry while providing excellent customer service and supporting career development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance to sales representatives in the territory
Recruit, train, and onboard sales professionals within the territory
Ensure sales goals are achieved and exceeded through effective leadership and collaboration
Assist in generating sales and developing customer relationships
Travel to other markets to support sales staff needs
Requirements
Experience in providing leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance to sales teams or sales representatives.
Experience in recruiting, training, and onboarding sales professionals within a territory or market.
Ability to lead through influence and collaborate effectively with a sales team reporting directly to a Market General Manager.
Excellent communication skills.
Willingness to learn about the roofing industry.
Ability to assist in generating sales and contribute to achieving and exceeding sales goals.
Willingness to travel to other markets needing additional sales staff.
