The Field Service Commissioning Technician at Bloom is primarily responsible for traveling to new markets or new installations and preparing systems for the initial startup and guiding the installation through final acceptance testing for customer load connection.
Requirements
The following MINIMUM levels of experience and or education are required:
High school diploma & 9 years’ experience in electrical field - Or –
Technical diploma, Journeymen Certification, Electrician Certification in a technical field and relevant industry experience of 5 years (electrician, electronics technician, field service, technician, test engineer, etc.) - Or –
5 years electrical related military experience (e.g. Navy Nuclear Electronics/Electrical Technician, Naval Electrician, Gas Turbine Electrician, Avionics, Aviation Electrician) and 2 years of relevant commercial electrical experience
Must hold an active driver’s license and a minimum of 5 years driving experience
Data center or other critical power installation experience is desired
Location: Must be based in one of the various Bloom commercial markets in the US: San Francisco Bay Area; Greater Los Angeles Metro area; Santa Teresa, New Mexico; Cheyenne, WY; Boise, ID; New York City/Long Island/Newark; Vineland, NJ; Pittsburgh/Shippingport, PA
A quantity of Field Service Commissioning Technicians will be hired in existing and emerging Bloom markets. These FSCTs will be committed to PSV and commissioning activities in their home market 100% of their available time or to fulfill 100% of the commissioning needs in their home market. During periods when their home market does not require their contributions to commissioning they will travel (50%+ expected as needed) to support commissioning in other markets. The remainder of their time will be spent supporting regular FST activities in their home market.
