Job Description
The Senior Contracts Manager, Asset Management, is responsible for negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts related to asset management of renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance, coordinating with various stakeholders, and overseeing project obligations from negotiation through operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate, draft, and structure Asset Management related contracts including O&M Agreements, Service Agreements, and Asset Management Agreements.
- Coordinate with legal, engineering, procurement, and other teams to drive contract negotiations and project onboarding.
- Oversee project obligations from contract negotiation through service commencement and ongoing operations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with major project contracts such as Interconnection, Power Purchase, and Financing Agreements.
- Manage relationships with service providers, suppliers, and stakeholders, including onboarding and coordination.
- Develop and refine contract templates, evaluation tools, and reports to optimize contract terms and project performance.
- Prepare and manage budgets related to plant operations and maintenance costs based on contractual outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties to fulfill compliance requirements and submit related documentation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience in Contracts Management, Asset Management, or Development of renewable or conventional power generation.
- Experience with contract negotiation, drafting, and structuring of PV and BESS Operations Maintenance Agreements and/or Long Term Service Agreements.
- Experience with compliance and reporting matters related to Power Purchase Agreements, Debt Tax Equity financing agreements, Interconnection Agreements, and related contracts.
- Proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, and other MS Office suite products.
- Understanding of interconnection and PPA processes with major California and Western utilities and ISOs.
- Must be detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient at extracting and summarizing large amounts of data and analyzing information.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to work across many different functions including finance, technical, accounting, legal, and operations.
- Effective interactions with colleagues, investors, and lenders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
