Job Description
The Associate, Project Finance supports the development, structuring, and execution of renewable energy project financings, including valuation, modeling, transaction support, and market analysis, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project sales and financing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage project financial models for development assets, including valuation, structuring, and sensitivity analysis.
- Support and lead project sale and financing processes, including due diligence, data room management, and transaction documentation.
- Assist in marketing project capital structures to lenders, investors, and strategic buyers.
- Monitor market conditions and macroeconomic factors to inform project valuation and financing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project development, engineering, legal, and operational inputs.
- Support ongoing project financing activities such as construction loan draws, refinancing, and compliance.
- Prepare materials for investment and risk committee reviews.
- Manage tracker tools and support approval processes for transactions.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of project finance, corporate finance, or investment banking experience in renewable energy or similar industry.
- Familiarity with project finance structures, including tax monetization, tax credit financing, construction financing, and back-leverage.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, including managing the financial, legal, and internal review processes.
- Strong communication skills with proven track record in building relationships and working in cross-functional collaborative teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with various discounted cash flow analysis, including pre-tax, after-tax, unlevered, and levered returns.
