Job Description
The Aurora Driver role involves safely operating autonomous semi-trucks for testing and development purposes, providing real-time feedback to engineers, and supporting the advancement of self-driving technology in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely pilot autonomous semi trucks during on-road and closed course testing
- Monitor the Aurora Driver and platform performance in real-time
- Log feedback on autonomy and platform performance for engineering analysis
- Escalate operational issues with suggested solutions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of self-driving technology and operational changes
- Work on cross-functional projects to demonstrate positive impact
- Interact with the public as an ambassador for Aurora
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience driving trucks commercially
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Interstate Class-A Commercial Driver's License
- Driving record must pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) guidelines
- Ability to travel as needed
- Available to work day and or night shifts, second and or third shift, including rotating shifts as needed
- Ability to work some overtime and weekends regularly
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with 80% of shift time spent in the vehicle
- Must pass pre-employment, post-incident, and randomized drug testing in accordance with FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass DOT physical and meet all DOT qualifications

Hourly wage range of $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
