Job Description
The Staff Technical Program Manager - Vehicle Hardware at Aurora is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing hardware verification activities for vehicle systems, ensuring successful hardware development, validation, and integration within the company's autonomous vehicle programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage vehicle hardware verification activities
- Lead hardware verification planning, execution, and daily development efforts
- Evaluate risks and communicate status to management and stakeholders
- Manage cross-functional hardware validation and risk mitigation efforts
- Ensure completion and accuracy of program documents, design reviews, and risk analyses
- Implement tools and processes to support program management workflows
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, and Safety engineering teams
- Support hardware sustainment issues through root cause analysis, testing, and logistics management
Requirements
- Experience managing hardware product validation with cross functional teams
- Experience with mechanical and electrical hardware testing
- Experience with launching new hardware products to market and managing hardware product life cycles
- Strong understanding of the systems engineering process
- Strong technical understanding of hardware design and verification validation process
- Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheets, MS Project, etc.
- Experience with task management tools such as Jira Tools, Confluence, etc.
- Ability to be located in Mountain View CA or Pittsburgh PA
- Ability to travel, up to 35%
