Job Description
The role involves leading the strategy and development of internal applications that support autonomous vehicle engineering and operations, focusing on creating tools that enhance testing, deployment, and AI workflows to accelerate the company's self-driving technology development.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and champion a multi-year product vision and strategy for internal applications supporting Autonomy development.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to deliver high-impact products that enhance workflows and maximize business value.
- Develop a deep understanding of AV development challenges to inform product development, including data visualization, ML labeling, and simulation lifecycles.
- Drive adoption of AI tools and workflows to accelerate development processes.
- Manage the product roadmap, balancing immediate stakeholder needs with long-term platform scalability and technical debt mitigation.
- Translate user insights and usage metrics into detailed requirements and user stories.
- Navigate stakeholder environments to build consensus on project timelines, trade-offs, and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Proven Leadership: 7 years in software product management with a track record of driving the strategy and execution of complex software ecosystems.
- Strategic Problem Solver: Exceptional ability to navigate ambiguity, create structured frameworks from white space, and lead teams through organizational change.
- Influence Communication: Ability to articulate a compelling product narrative and translate sophisticated concepts into clear, persuasive communication for executive leadership.
- Collaborative Excellence: Demonstrated experience leading high-performing, cross-functional teams including Design, Engineering, and Data to deliver high-ROI products.
- Operational Fluency: Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, particularly in ML-based software development, and the ability to identify and mitigate delivery risks.
- Technical Fluency: Ability to quickly understand deep technical concepts, architecture risks, and complexity trade-offs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical education or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: Experience shipping products, preferably with self-driving technology or other AI-based applications.
