Job Description
The Summer 2025 Perception Software Engineering Intern at Aurora will work on developing and evaluating deep learning models and algorithms to enhance perception solutions for self-driving technology, focusing on tasks such as object detection and traffic scene understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop deep learning machine learning models for perception solutions
- Design, prototype, and evaluate machine learning algorithms and DNN architectures
- Work on performance improvements and validation for perception capabilities
- Collaborate with team members and receive mentorship for project guidance
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a BS, Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Graphics or a related technical area with a graduation date between December 2025 - May 2026.
- Ability to read and develop production quality software in C and/or Python.
- Experience writing robust, intuitive, high-performance code as demonstrated through previous computer vision and machine learning related internships, work experience, research projects or conference publications (e.g., CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, IJCV, ICML, NeurIPS, JMLR, PAMI, etc.).
- Interns must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Hourly Rate: $47.00 per hour for interns pursuing an undergraduate degree
Hourly Rate: $52.00 per hour for interns pursuing a master's degree
Hourly Rate: $58.00 per hour for interns pursuing a doctoral degree
