The Software Engineer will develop real-time algorithms and production-grade software for self-driving vehicles, focusing on behavior planning, data analysis, and algorithm optimization to enhance autonomous mobility and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Develop real-time algorithms for selecting safe and comfortable trajectories for a self-driving vehicle
Design and implement production-grade software for the Aurora Driver
Analyze large-scale real-world data to train and evaluate machine learning models
Improve data pipelines supporting algorithm development
Design metric suites and testing workflows for rapid iteration on algorithms
Requirements
BS, MS, or PhD in Robotics, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
At least 4 years of applied industry experience programming and designing software in C++, especially in low latency or real-time environments
Experience in designing, building, and productionizing motion planning algorithms including cost function design, optimization, sampling-based techniques, or state estimation algorithms
