Job Description
The Senior Hardware Test Engineer at Aurora is responsible for owning and supporting hardware modules through their testing processes, analyzing data, automating tasks, and working with various test equipment to ensure the reliability and performance of self-driving technology components.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and support hardware modules through their testing lifecycle.
- Participate in root cause and corrective action (RCCA) efforts with the VnV team.
- Automate repetitive testing tasks and analyze testing data.
- Operate and utilize various test equipment such as thermal chambers, vibe tables, and electronic loads.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Similar
- Experience with Python to automate repetitive tasks, analyze data, and work within larger testing frameworks
- Working knowledge of test equipment including thermal chambers, vibe tables, liquid chillers, power supplies, electronic loads, and DAQs
- Multidisciplinary experience across Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, with expertise in one and knowledge of the other
- Experience working in a Linux environment and networking
