Job Description
The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead the planning and execution of critical infrastructure programs within Aurora's Tech Foundations organization, collaborating with engineering teams to develop and maintain scalable cloud, data, and compute platforms that support autonomous vehicle technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, de-risk, and execute the technical roadmap for infrastructure programs.
- Lead the delivery of large-scale, cross-team infrastructure projects.
- Design and implement a program management framework for the Tech Foundations group.
- Engage in architectural discussions to understand technical designs, challenges, and risks.
- Establish processes for tracking and communicating program status, risks, and milestones.
- Collaborate on staffing plans and resource allocation for infrastructure initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, successfully shipping complex software infrastructure or platform products.
- Deep, hands-on experience with modern, large-scale infrastructure, such as cloud computing platforms AWS, GCP, automated data pipelines, CI/CD and developer tooling, or distributed compute systems.
- Demonstrated ability to grasp complex technical concepts and facilitate discussions between senior engineering teams on topics like system architecture, design trade-offs, and operational readiness.
- Proven expertise in tailoring and applying project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban to fit the needs of complex, R&D-focused teams.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge gaps between technical and non-technical teams.

Base salary range: 150,000 - 240,000 per year
