Job Description
The Senior Staff Lidar Systems Engineer will lead systems engineering, integration, and testing activities for lidar products, supporting hardware and software development, safety compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and updates of dFMEA throughout the product lifecycle
- Support requirement generation from top-level to subsystem level
- Assist in functional safety concept and requirement generation
- Design and develop in-process and End-of-Life hardware test stations for manufacturing
- Develop algorithms for system integration and optimization
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure product requirements are met
- Identify and mitigate potential technical bottlenecks or failures early in development
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues across all product phases
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and coordinate with teams to resolve them
- Create test reports and manage root cause analysis for test failures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related field.
- Experience in hardware testing, including experience with photonics, embedded systems, digital and analog circuitry, and firmware.
- Experience with modeling tools such as Python, MATLAB, SysML, and CAD tools.
- Familiarity with standard test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, thermal chambers, and vibe tables.
- Experience with volume manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience working with and debugging complex hardware and software systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Base salary range: $178,000 - $257,000 per year
