Senior Vehicle Reliability Engineer

• Provide technical support to vehicles that encounter software or hardware issues. • Troubleshoot and perform general root cause analysis for common software and hardware faults across all quickly developing platforms. • Collaborate with engineers, operations and product to improve product performance, drive down faults, and maximize test efficiency • Triage of vehicle issues providing data, analysis, and support to engineering teams to determine root cause and corrective actions • Creation of run books to facilitate standard and accelerated troubleshooting • Perform sensor calibrations, fleet upgrades, and new platform bring-up

• 2+ years of experience with the Linux Operating System in a support and troubleshooting capacity. • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills from inception through documentation and closure • Experience working with various complex hardware and software systems including lidar, radar, cameras, and computers • Detail oriented self starter with strong desire to learn new skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across different teams, offices, and time zones • Ability to wear different hats and quickly multitask • Excellent documentation skills • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related STEM field • Previous automotive or AV technical experience • Deep understanding of computer networking systems • Programming skills (e.g Python, Go, C++, SQL) The base hourly wage range for this position is $41.75 - $66.75 per hour. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
