Job Description
The role involves leading Aurora's strategic and financial planning processes, analyzing complex financial data across various functions, supporting key business initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive long-term company growth and decision-making in the autonomous vehicle industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Aurora's long-range financial planning processes and manage strategic and financial initiatives.
- Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives through analysis and recommendations.
- Manage complex financial data related to autonomy hardware, procurement, and supply chain functions.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to align business and finance strategies with technical roadmaps.
- Serve as the finance subject matter expert for strategic partnerships and agreements with OEMs, suppliers, and customers.
- Support fundraising efforts and investor communications by understanding Aurora's products, business model, and customer value proposition.
- Develop financial models and conduct data-driven analyses to inform strategic decisions.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals.
Requirements
- 10 years of relevant work experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or functional experience in Finance, Strategy, or Corporate Business Development at a large company or high growth start-up
- Proactive, self-motivated professional with an exceptional analytical skillset and a track record of successfully building complex financial models from the ground up
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with strategy, product, engineering, operations, business corporate development, marketing, and finance teams leading the execution of complex business planning processes and strategic financial reviews
- Ability to engage with and influence senior leadership on a broad range of topics that influence the Company’s business model and long-term financial outlook
- Degree in Finance or related quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Math, or Statistics; engineering degrees also considered
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a succinct, clear manner
