Job Description
The Data Analyst will work with safety and engineering teams to analyze and develop data tools, metrics, and dashboards that improve the safety and performance of Aurora's autonomous driving technology, collaborating across multiple subsystems and ensuring best practices in data analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with safety and engineering teams to develop data tools and insights to enhance the safety of the Aurora Driver
- Design and implement metrics and dashboards to measure and improve safety performance
- Work with Data Science and Analytics teams on data analysis problems across multiple vehicle and system subsystems
- Ensure adoption of data analytics best practices and suggest process improvements
- Build and maintain data pipelines to support end-to-end data analytics projects
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar technical role.
- Proven experience taking Data Analytics projects end-to-end, from synthesizing business needs to building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Advanced proficiency with relational databases such as SQL and PostgreSQL, and knowledge of Data Engineering best practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of data analytics infrastructure, including experience with data transformation tools like DBT and various visualization frameworks tools.
- Competency in Python, demonstrated by the ability to write readable, maintainable, and easily interpretable code.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving, and high-stakes environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate and cascade executive input into actionable, data-driven technical analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
