Job Description

The Head of Talent Management Workforce Planning at Aurora is responsible for designing and implementing HR functions such as talent management, strategic workforce planning, and performance review programs to support organizational growth and success in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and improve talent management processes, including talent review, succession planning, career frameworks, and development programs.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic workforce planning framework to analyze current capabilities and forecast future talent needs.
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to align workforce strategies with business goals, budgets, and growth plans.
  • Own and refine the performance review cycle, including goal setting, feedback, evaluations, and calibration to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, ensure consistency, and recommend improvements to enhance employee engagement and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong focus on Talent Management, Workforce Planning, and Performance Management.
  • Proven experience partnering directly with C-suite executives within a rapidly scaling organization.
  • Experience designing and implementing Strategic Workforce Planning frameworks and models.
  • Demonstrated success running large-scale, complex HR programs such as annual performance cycles and talent review processes.
  • Highly proficient in using Workday and other HR systems tools to extract, analyze, and present data-driven insights to senior leaders.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. approximately 10% of the time.
  • Must work in the office at least 3 days per week, specifically Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, at the Aurora office locations in Mountain View, CA; San Francisco, CA; Pittsburgh, PA; or Seattle, WA.
  • Fluent in English.
