Job Description
The Inventory Operations Manager at Aurora is responsible for overseeing inventory control, warehousing, and logistics across multiple divisions, driving process scalability, ensuring financial accountability, and leading a team to support the company's transition to high-volume manufacturing in the autonomous technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and control all core inventory management functions including warehousing, logistics, and inventory control across manufacturing, R&D, contract manufacturing, and fleet spares.
- Set and execute the vision and roadmap for inventory operations to drive process maturity and scalability during the transition from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
- Enforce inventory control standards such as FIFO discipline, cycle count accuracy, and conduct inventory reconciliation initiatives.
- Establish and maintain service levels and key performance metrics to ensure speed, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Identify, propose, and implement data-driven process improvements using methodologies like Lean Six Sigma.
- Collaborate with the Material Planning team to optimize material flow and support accurate material forecasting.
- Lead inventory personnel, manage team schedules, prioritize activities, and ensure cross-training for operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Experience of 5-7 years in Inventory Management, Warehousing Operations, or Supply Chain Leadership, ideally within high-tech, automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong background in ERP MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, including familiarity with inventory metrics.
- Proven success leading operational teams and delivering measurable improvements in a dynamic, continuously shifting environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- Ability to lead and manage inventory personnel, drive cross-functional alignment, run routine metric reviews, risk assessments, and executive status reporting.
- Experience in managing team schedules, prioritizing workload and activities, and ensuring personnel are appropriately cross-trained.
- Enforce rigorous inventory control by mandating FIFO discipline, achieving high cycle count accuracy, and leading all inventory true-up and reconciliation initiatives.
- Establish and maintain best-in-class Service Levels (SLAs) across all internal and external stakeholders, and establish, measure, and optimize key performance metrics to drive speed, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

- Collaborate closely with the Material Planning team to optimize material flow and ensure inventory processes support accurate material forecasts.
