Engineering Technician

• Work as a R&D Technician building Aurora’s self-driving technology - this Includes harness fabrication from scratch, often from lucid charts, excel files, and engineering drawings. • Candidates must possess excellent documentation practices. • Work closely with Hardware Engineering and associated teams. • Follow safety standards and meet internal deadlines. • Work with limited oversight. • Seek continuing education and development opportunities.

• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in harness fabrication using 1:1 form boards and various tooling in R&D and prototype spaces • Strong electrical skills, ability to read wiring schematics and layouts, redline drawings, and communicate with EDS design engineers • Strong background in electrical wiring & harness fabrication from scratch. • Strong understanding of electrical tools and equipment; crimpers, dies, multimeter, presses, connectors, contacts, wire gauges/types, soldering, microscope, etc. • Exceptional craftsmanship with the ability to pin out and quality test harnesses/circuit boards • Experience with Jira, Confluence, PLM, CAD, and various other software tools • Must possess excellent communication skills and self awareness • Ability to problem-solve, diagnose, analyze and isolate problems rationally • Proficiency with Windows and Google productivity Suite - specifically Sheets • Able to work independently and in a team environment • Approach work with a proactive, capable, and willingness attitude to solve problems and support peers • Ability to multitask under pressure in an unstructured environment • IPC training and certification in the following: IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721 • Certification and training in GD&T
