Job Description
The 3D Technical Director will develop and enhance synthetic environments for autonomous vehicle testing using tools like Houdini and Aurora's multi-modal simulator, focusing on building procedural scenarios, improving workflows, and supporting the development of self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Build procedural scenarios using Houdini for simulation development
- Utilize Aurora's multi-modal simulator (camera, lidar, radar) to advance autonomous vehicle testing
- Improve workflows and pipelines to deliver quality software and datasets reliably
- Debug large distributed simulations
- Develop new tools and assets to enhance simulator capabilities
- Apply AI tools to improve simulation efficiency
Requirements
- Proficiency in Houdini and an understanding of procedural and automated asset creation methodologies.
- Practical experience with Python and general scripting, with introductory knowledge of VEX being acceptable.
- Passionate about learning, growing technical skills, and willing to dive in and help solve impactful challenges in autonomous vehicle development.

Base salary range: $139,000 - $223,000 per year
