Job Description
This position involves leading survey teams, managing survey projects, and ensuring accurate survey data collection and review, while overseeing budgets, schedules, and client relationships within a surveying and land development firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and review survey work performed by staff surveyors and technicians
- Prepare and review survey documents, including legal descriptions, control sheets, boundary calculations, and plats
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and proposals to ensure timely and within-budget completion
- Maintain accurate project documentation and files
- Mentor and train survey staff and coordinate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Develop and maintain client relationships and participate in marketing and business development efforts
- Ensure quality control of survey deliverables and compliance with contract scope
- Oversee billing, monitor unbilled time, and address past due accounts
- Manage staff workload, review timesheets, and conduct staff performance reviews
- Assist in resolving HR issues and ensure effective communication with supervisors and team members
Requirements
- Six to ten years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Licensed Land Surveyor.
