Job Description
The Survey Project Manager at Atwell, LLC is responsible for leading survey projects, managing teams, reviewing survey data, and producing site plans and construction documents, primarily in land development and renewable energy sectors, while utilizing industry software and ensuring project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with a team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents.
- Review project survey data using industry software and technology.
- Analyze existing site conditions, legal descriptions, easements, and related documents for development considerations.
- Supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff to ensure project completion.
- Oversee large-scale ALTA surveys related to solar or wind power projects.
- Provide construction-related services, including permit applications, quantity estimates, and document organization.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments within standards and budgets.
- Mentor staff through training, career planning, and professional development.
Requirements
- Professional Survey License PLS or RLS
- 8 years of survey industry-related work experience
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team
- Prior experience working with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- An advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, Plan interpretations, along with Real Estate Documents
