Job Description
The Survey CAD Technician at Atwell is responsible for producing and analyzing survey drawings and data using AutoCAD Civil 3D, supporting land development, renewable energy, and construction projects, while collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design staff by guiding drafting practices and procedures
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to produce project drawings
- Generate survey-related drawings such as ALTA NSPS Surveys, Land Divisions, and construction layouts
- Analyze survey data to assess existing site conditions and review legal documents
- Edit and modify plans based on revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients
- Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to coordinate workflow and meet chargeability goals
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of previous AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required.
- Experience with ALTA surveys, plot plans, as-builts, and boundary surveys preferred.
- Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
- Associated Degree preferred.
