Job Description
A Survey CAD Technician at Atwell, LLC, is responsible for supporting survey teams by preparing and revising survey exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D, reviewing survey data, and coordinating workflow to produce accurate land development and pipeline project drawings in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide drafting and technical support to survey teams following CAD standards and workflows.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey software to prepare and revise survey exhibits.
- Produce survey drawings and exhibits such as alignment sheets, right of way exhibits, easements, well plats, and location drawings.
- Review and interpret survey data and documentation to support drawing production.
- Edit and modify plans based on revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients.
- Maintain communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of previous AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required
- Experience with midstream upstream pipeline projects
- High School Diploma required, Associate Degree preferred
- Ability to provide drafting and technical support to survey teams by following established CAD standards, workflows, and procedures for midstream and upstream survey projects
- Ability to utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related survey software to prepare and revise midstream pipeline and upstream survey exhibits in accordance with company CAD standards and project requirements
- Ability to produce survey drawings and exhibits related to midstream pipeline and upstream projects, including alignment sheets, right of way exhibits, easement exhibits, well plats, and surface and bottom hole location drawings
- Ability to review and interpret survey data and documentation to support drawing production, including legal descriptions, easements, right of way information, and well location data, under the direction of survey staff
- Ability to responsibly edit and modify plans in line with revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients, following directives closely
- Ability to maintain open communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status, ensuring the team meets chargeability goals
