Job Description
The Project Surveyor at Atwell, LLC is responsible for leading land development surveys, collaborating with project teams, and managing projects from start to finish using technical expertise in surveying tools and methods, while supporting professional growth and working on diverse residential, commercial, and energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Project Managers to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules for land development projects.
- Lead and oversee boundary, ALTA NSPS, topographic, and construction surveys with accuracy and efficiency.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center to process survey data, create plats, exhibits, and maps.
- Review and verify survey calculations and field data to ensure precision and compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure survey accuracy and project success.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Legal Descriptions, Easements, Title Review, and Real Estate Documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center, with the ability to process data, create detailed plats, exhibits, and maps, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Experience with Trimble field equipment preferred.
- Prior field crew experience is a plus, indicating understanding of both office and field survey processes.
- LSIT or PLS certification desired; multi-state licensure is a plus.
- Ability to partner closely with Project Managers to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules for land development projects of all sizes.
- Experience in leading and overseeing boundary, ALTA NSPS, topographic, and construction surveys with accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to review and verify survey calculations and field data, ensuring precision and compliance with project standards.
- Strong collaboration skills to work daily with engineers, contractors, and clients, serving as the trusted survey voice on the team.
