Job Description
The Survey Project Manager at Atwell is responsible for leading survey projects, managing teams, reviewing survey data, and ensuring the successful execution of site plans and construction documents across various development and energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with a team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents.
- Review project survey data using industry software and analyze existing site conditions and legal documents.
- Supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff to ensure project completion.
- Oversee large-scale ALTA surveys related to solar or wind energy projects.
- Provide construction-related services, including permit applications, quantity estimates, and transmittals.
- Organize and assemble site plans, construction plans, and related documents.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments within standards and budgets.
- Mentor staff through training, career planning, and professional development.
Requirements
- Professional Survey License PLS or PSM is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of survey industry related work experience.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team.
- Prior experience working with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
- Advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, Plan interpretations, along with Real Estate Documents.
