Job Description
The Project Manager role in Atwell's Civil Engineering group involves managing diverse projects, collaborating with teams on site plans and construction documents, analyzing survey data, providing technical reports, supporting construction activities, and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze project survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, surveys, and easements
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering project management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages.
- Ability to analyze project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Experience in preparing reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, and storm sewer reports.
- Experience in providing construction support services, including permit applications and quantity estimates.
- Ability to collaborate closely with production teams to draft, review, and finalize preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
- Leadership skills to guide and assist junior staff, ensuring project tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Willingness to develop project management skills through training and mentoring, with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
