Job Description
A Title Agent specializing in courthouse records and land title history to support large-scale solar development projects, responsible for conducting detailed title research, interpreting deed and probate records, and compiling ownership reports independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull and examine title from courthouse records
- Run complex chains of title from patent to present
- Interpret and analyze deed language, probate records, and ownership history
- Compile accurate ownership reports and runsheets per client specifications
- Organize supporting documentation with attention to detail
- Work independently to meet tight deadlines
Requirements
- Extensive title research experience in courthouse settings
- Ability to interpret a wide variety of deeds, conveyance types, and probate matters
- Skilled in building chain of title and ownership reports from scratch
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn deed plotting software
- Extremely tech-savvy and detail-obsessed
- Preferably based in Oregon or surrounding states
- Must have an active LLC and reliable transportation
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pull and examine title from the courthouse, not just online databases
- Ability to run complex chains of title, from patent to present
- Ability to interpret and analyze deed language, probate records, and ownership history
- Ability to compile accurate runsheets and ownership reports per client specifications
- Ability to organize all supporting documentation with extreme attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines
