Job Description
The role involves performing design engineering tasks for government infrastructure projects, including transportation, water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, while collaborating with clients and team members to ensure project success and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform design engineering and related tasks for government infrastructure projects.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, construction schedules, and permits.
- Obtain and evaluate field data for proposed construction projects.
- Develop engineer's opinion of probable cost and engineering design calculations.
- Assist with plan reviews for compliance with local ordinances.
- Maintain client relationships and assist with permit applications.
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals for engineering services.
- Mentor and assist Staff Engineers, delegating project tasks.
- Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
- Participate in business development activities and represent the firm professionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
- Registered professional engineer with five years of design experience in government capital projects, including transportation, water wastewater, and stormwater improvements
