Job Description
A Civil Engineer at Atwell, LLC, is responsible for designing and analyzing land development projects, preparing reports, supporting construction activities, and utilizing engineering software to ensure project accuracy and compliance across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Analyze project survey data to assess existing site conditions
- Prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations for project direction
- Provide construction support including permit applications, quantity estimates, and transmittals
- Organize and manage site plans, construction plans, and documents
- Utilize engineering software to complete assignments accurately and efficiently
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 2 years of land development experience
- AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
- Experience with WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD preferred
- Ability to draft preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards
- Ability to analyze project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
- Ability to prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology hydraulic studies, due diligence site analysis reports, engineer s opinion of probable costs, project schedules, utility computations, detention retention computations, storm sewer reports, local and state permit applications, stormwater reports, soils reports, earthwork volume calculations, StormCAD reports, WaterCAD reports, and preliminary grading
- Provide construction support services including permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals
- Organize site plans, construction plans, and construction documents under the guidance of Senior staff
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with staff members
