Job Description
The role involves providing drafting support for land development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, producing detailed site plans, reviewing survey data, and collaborating with project teams to ensure timely completion of engineering drawings and plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for design staff regarding drafting practices and procedures
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete project assignments
- Produce drawings such as soil erosion plans, site layouts, grading, storm sewer, water, and sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and staking
- Review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions and development factors
- Complete edits and modify plans based on agency, municipality, and client revisions
- Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to monitor workflow and meet chargeability goals
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
- 4 years of previous design experience within Residential, Commercial or Industrial Land Development
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages
- Ability to produce various drawings including soil erosion plans, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and construction staking
- Experience reviewing project survey data to analyze existing site conditions and factors such as legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
- Ability to complete edits and modify plans as revised by agencies, municipalities, and clients as directed
- Effective communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status to meet chargeability goals
